Knives, harassment and assault – do you know anyone on our latest courts list?

The following offenders have recently been convicted in our courts of the following offences:

Duran Reddy, 39, of Ferncroft Walk, Chellaston, was handed a two-year community order, with a six-week curfew and was ordered to pay £150 compensation, £85 costs and a £90 victim surcharge for assault in Weston-on-Trent on May 3.

Daniel Parkes, 28, of Colley Lane, Halesowen, was handed a 12-month community order and was fined £40 and was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £95 victim surcharge for assault and criminal damage at the YMCA in London Road, Derby, on August 16.

Abby Doherty, 25, of Malham Road, Derby, was jailed for 12 weeks and was ordered to pay £300 compensation for criminal damage of a BMW and for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour in Malham Road, Derby, on September 4 and for assaulting an emergency worker – a police officer – at Ripley police station on September 5.

Michael Dunmore, 30, of Fairfax Road, Normanton, was fined £120 and was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 victim surcharge for failing to comply with the terms of the sex offender register by failing to register his new address with the police between May 10 and 15, 2019.

Ella Sismey, 28, of Arthur Street, Derby, was jailed for 10 weeks and was ordered to pay £263.88 compensation for two counts of shoplifting, both from Boots and Derby’s Intu Centre on July 16 and August 10.

Mphasto Store, 30, of Cemetery Road, Leabrooks, Alfreton, was fined £120 for assault in Leabrooks on June 23.

Lewis Walton, 28, of Mayvale Grove, Derby, was jailed for 28 weeks and was ordered to pay £200 compensation for assault in The Wardwick, Derby, on January 4 and for assault and breaching a restraining order in Friar Gate, Derby, on December 15, 2019.

Robert Ready, 44, of Collingwood Road, Long Eaton, was jailed for nine weeks and was handed a three-year restraining order and was ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge for sending an electronic message to his victim which was grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character in Sawley between June 17 and July 1.

Daniel Payne, 38, of West Street, Swadlincote, was handed a 12-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay a £21 victim surcharge for possessing cannabis and Mamba in Swadlincote on February 25.

Neville Antonio, 62, of Brompton Road, Mackworth, was fined £80 and was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 victim surcharge for criminal damage of a Vauxhall Corsa in Brompton Road, Mackworth, on November 7, 2019.

Daniel Bradley, 33, of Queensway, Scunthorpe, was handed a 12-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £50 compensation, £300 costs and a £21 victim surcharge for assault in Belper on August 11, 2019.

Brett Skelton, 29, of Hallam Fields Road, Ilkeston, was jailed for eight weeks and was ordered to pay £85 compensation, £85 costs and a £122 victim surcharge for two counts of making off without paying for fuel from the Co-op petrol station in Ladywood Road, Ilkeston, on June 14 and 21.

Darren Rawson, 46, of HMP Ranby, was handed a 12-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £25 compensation, £85 costs and a £21 victim surcharge for entering Farm Foods, in Ascot Drive, Derby, on April 7, as a trespasser, with intent to steal.

Peter Bennett, 39, of Caroline Court Ilkeston, was handed a 12-month community order and was fined £266 and was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £95 victim surcharge for assault in Ilkeston on January 19.

Stephen Evans, 55, of Uttoxeter Old Road, was handed a 12-month community order, a 12-month restraining order and was ordered to pay £100 compensation, £85 costs and a £95 victim surcharge for assault in Derby on March 10.

Jake Birks, 21, of Hope Street, Derby, was was handed a 12-month community order, with a four-week curfew and was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £95 victim surcharge for possessing a knife in public in Midland Road, Derby, on May 5.

Tomasz Sulima, 25, of Alwards Close, Alvaston, was handed a 12-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £22 victim surcharge for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour in Normanton Road, Normanton, on April 25.

Patrick Curley, 33, of Sinfin Fields Crescent, Derby, was handed a 12-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £350 compensation, £85 costs and a £21 victim surcharge for two counts of assault at his address in Derby on September 14, 2019.

Joseph Chidgey, 34, of Lower Dale Road, Normanton, was handed a two-year conditional discharge, a two-year restraining order and was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £21 victim surcharge for stalking in Derby between Melbourne between August 10 and October 1, 2019.

Matthew Elliott,32, of no fixed address, was handed a 12-month restraining order, a 12-month restraining order and was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £22 victim surcharge for assault in Long Eaton on June 20.

Carl Gadsby, 43, of Witney Close, Allenton, was handed a 12-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £22 victim surcharge for making a phone call to the victim which was grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character in Derby on May 13.

Shaun Whittle, 53, of Norfolk Road, Long Eaton, was handed a 12-month conditional discharge, a 12-month restraining order and was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £22 victim surcharge for harassment in Long Eaton between December 1 and June 4.

Sonia Amaat, 27, of Bagshaw Street, Alvaston, was fined £125 and was ordered to pay £50 compensation and £85 costs for using racially-aggravated threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour against a custody officer at St Mary’s Wharf police station on January 5.

Graham Few, 44, of South Street, Derby, was handed a 12-month community order, with an eight-week curfew, for stealing a purse belonging to a named victim in East Street, Derby, on July 21.

Baldeep Surinder, 40, of Middleton Street, Normanton, was handed a 12-month community order, with an eight-week curfew, and was handed a two-year restraining order and was ordered to pay £100 compensation, £85 costs and a £9 victim surcharge for assault in Pear Tree on February 27.

Paula Scanlon, 32, of no fixed address, was jailed for six months and was ordered to pay £156 compensation for possessing a knife in St Peters Churchyard, Derby, on September 10.

Amanda Blakeman, 51, of Joseph Roe Drive, Crich, was handed a 12-month community order, with a six-week curfew and 90 hours unpaid work and was ordered to pay £238.68 compensation, £85 costs and an £85 victim surcharge for two counts of fraud by abusing her position as a Home at Help worker for Amber Valley CVS and using a client’s bank card while he was in hospital in Alfreton on April 1 and August 12, 2019.

Andrew Keeling, 35, of Wentworth Street, Ilkeston, was handed a 10-week community order, with curfew and was ordered to pay £100 compensation, £85 costs and a £95 victim surcharge for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour and for assaulting an emergency worker – a police officer – at Chesterfield and North Derbyshire Royal Hospital, on May 23.
