New coronavirus rules have been announced by Prime Minister Boris Johnson to come into effect tomorrow.
The new tiered system will split the country into one of three categories; medium, high or very high risk.
This will replace all current national and local lockdown rules.
Meanwhile, a large number of local schools are dealing with pupils and teachers who have been found to have the virus, meaning hundreds of youngsters, teachers and others who work in schools are self-isolating.
Derby and Derbyshire schools that have so far been affected include to Lees Brook Community School, Allestree Woodlands, Derby Moor Academy, Gayton Junior School, St George’s Catholic Voluntary Academy and Netherthorpe School.
