We may continue to live in uncertain times as the coronavirus pandemic continues to spread across the world, but the lottery is carrying on.
A win in the National Lottery’s Set For Life will guarantee you a payment of £10,000 every month for 30 years.
Imagine what you could do with that when everything is back to normal. Cooking courses? New business ideas? Whatever’s on your list, now’s your chance to start ticking them off.
Tonight’s Set For Life numbers are 5, 13, 20, 29, 37 and the Life Ball is 5.
So how do you play?
Well pick five numbers from 1-47, plus one Life Ball number from 1-10, or go with a Luck Dip for randomly selected numbers.
Choose your draw days and the number of weeks you’d like to play. You can play up to seven lines of numbers and buy up to 10 play slips at a time.
Then you are good to go and all you have to do is wait for the draw.
The biggest ever Lotto winner was created in April 2016, when an anonymous player banked £35m.
In January 2016, two ticket-holders walked away with £33m each.
Before that, a main Lotto game jackpot of £42,008,610, was drawn in January 1996 and split between three anonymous winners, with each being awarded £14,002,870.
A single ticket also won £26.4 million on the New Year’s Eve Lotto back in 2016.
The UK National Lottery was first drawn on November 19, 1994.
Half of all money spent by players goes to the prize fund, with 28 per cent to good causes, 12 per cent to the Government as duty and five per cent to retailers.
The final five per cent has operated the lottery throughout its history.
