A new set of 54 apartments has been developed by private investors and Derby City Council to help provide affordable housing in the city.
Phase two of a three phase regeneration plan, the modern new flats are located on Liversage just by the Derbion and are sold by Castleward.
Starting at £155,000 these affordable apartments are perfect for first-time buyers and have been snapped up by homemakers.
Investment came from private investors and Derby City Council, as they looked to renovate the city and provide new, affordable housing.
The Castleward properties were available with the government’s “Help to Buy” scheme, allowing their new owners to buy them with just 5% deposit.
Another development plan is in progress in the area with similar homes to be available in 2022.
Stephen Hutchings, who has purchased a property at Castleward, said: “It’s an excellent development, especially in terms of city centre proximity. The homes are good quality in the right location and at the right price.”
