Nearly two weeks of roadworks will get under way in a Derby tomorrow.
Derby City Council resurfacing works will be taking place in Sanderson Road, Chaddesden, with parts of the road closed while work is being carried out.
Some other routes are also due to undergo roadworks this week, according to the council’s website and roadworks collaboration site one.network.
We’ve put together a list of roadworks taking place in the city, which is correct as of the evening of Sunday, February 14.
The roadworks are not expected to cause too much disruption, with the country currently in its third Covid-19 lockdown.

Sanderson Road, Chaddesden
Resurfacing works will get under way in Sanderson Road from tomorrow, Monday, February 15.
Derby City Council has confirmed that work will be taking place between the road’s junction with Lexington Road and Parkside Road.
Work will be taking place in two phases, with a road closure initially in force from the road’s junction with Lexington Road to its junction with Newhaven Road.
The second phase of work, expected to be completed on Wednesday, February 24, will involve a closure from the road’s junction with Newhaven Road to its junction with Parkside Road.
A diversion route will be in operation during the times when work is taking place.
Merrill Way, Shelton Lock
Derby City Council roadworks will be taking place in Merrill Way from Monday, February 15 to Wednesday, February 17.
The work will be taking place during off-peak times near the road’s junction with Walton Avenue.
Traffic control stop/go boards will be operation while work takes place, according to the one.network website.
Radbourne Lane, Mackworth
Temporary traffic lights are in operation in Radbourne Lane as telecoms work continues after getting under way last week.
According to the one.network website, CityFibre is working on the stretch of road from its junction with Moorgate to the footpath going onto Richardson Way.
Work, which started on Monday, February 8, is expected to be completed later this week, on Friday, February 19.
Robincroft Road, Allestree
Derby City Council resurfacing work in Robincroft Road is expected to be completed this week.
The road is being closed in sections as work takes place between 8am and 5pm each day until this Friday, February 19.
Phase one, which got under way at the start of the month, saw Robincroft Road closed from its junction with Blenheim Drive to its junction with Cornhill.
The second phase of work will see the road closed from its junction with Cornhill to its junction with Kings Croft.
Arridge Road, Chaddesden
Derby City Council resurfacing work in Arridge Road is expected to be completed at the end of this week.
A temporary closure is in force from the road’s junction with Chaddesden Park Road to its junction with Reginald Road South, while work is being carried out.
According to the city council website, work is expected to be completed by Sunday, February 21.

Chequers Road, Derby
The second stage of a £500,000 cycle path improvement scheme started in Derby last month.
Expected to take another three weeks to complete, work will see the further development of a new cycle path, which is being built on the grass verge between Chequers Road and the A52.
Motorists may be affected as part of Chequers Road will be down to one lane while work takes place, with traffic lights in operation.
