Derbyshire Cricket Board is the 'governing body' for all aspects of recreational cricket in Derbyshire. We are a not-for-profit, company limited by guarantee and our remit covers:
- Running the player pathway that develops talented players and run the county teams for boys and girls aged U10-U17 plus the Mini Academy and Women's 1st XI
- Supporting the 127 cricket clubs in the county with advice on coaching, funding and running their clubs
- Training and resources for coaches, umpires, scorers and groundsmen
- Working with over 120 schools providing free cricket coaching to both primary and secondary children
- Running affordable, high quality cricket courses in school holidays for children typically aged 8-14 to develop their interest and skills in the game
- Encouraging adult participation through Last Man Stands (2 hour, after work games) and into clubs.
